ACC Action Applauds House Republicans’ Efforts to Unleash American Energy

WASHINGTON – The American Conservation Coalition Action (ACC Action) applauds House Republicans’ legislation to maximize America’s carbon advantage and unleash American energy.

Led by Chairs Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Bruce Westerman (R-AR), Republicans on the House Energy & Commerce and Natural Resources Committees have introduced bills aimed at streamlining the burdensome energy permitting process and promoting domestic energy production.

This package includes legislation such as the TAPP American Resources Act, Securing America’s Critical Minerals Supply Act, and Promoting Cross-border Energy Infrastructure Act. If enacted, these bills will put American energy first and reduce emissions around the world.

ACC VP of External Affairs Christopher Barnard: “American energy is clean energy. Streamlining red tape and prioritizing domestic energy production will reduce global emissions and bolster our energy security. We hope to see negotiations continue to ensure these solutions gain bipartisan support, allowing for safe passage in the Senate. Young conservatives want affordable, abundant, and increasingly clean energy.”

In late January, ACC Action was joined by 32 other organizations to call on House Republicans to prioritize energy and climate action. We’re grateful to see Republicans starting to put these ideas into action.
