ACC Activists Urge Congress to Rebuild Sustainably
WASHINGTON — The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) conducted a four-day call to action campaign last week in which activists asked their representatives to prioritize stimulus policies that will deliver economic and environmental benefits.
In four days, ACC activists sent more than 500 emails to their members of Congress. This afternoon, ACC Vice President of Government Affairs Quill Robinson sent a letter to House and Senate leadership, which can be viewed here.
In the letter, Robinson said: “Our members believe that the economic health and environmental health of the United States are inseparable. After we overcome this crisis, we believe that the best opportunities to put Americans back to work are those that will produce economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.”
ACC thanks Congress for its leadership in this difficult time and looks forward to working together to build a more sustainable and resilient future for the United States.
