The American Conservation Coalition Action Mobilize Program is building the next generation of grassroots leaders focused on advancing conservative environmental leadership and driving real impact in communities across the country.

We are currently recruiting a Mobilize Captain to lead our efforts in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.

As a Mobilize Captain, you won’t just support the mission—you’ll lead it.

What Is a Mobilize Captain

Mobilize Captains are paid, on-the-ground leaders responsible for building and activating a local volunteer network in key congressional districts.

As the Mobilize Captain for IA-01, you’ll work directly with your Mobilization Manager to organize events, recruit volunteers, build relationships, and execute high-impact voter engagement efforts leading into the 2026 election.

This is a leadership role for someone ready to take ownership, build something meaningful, and make a measurable impact in one of the country’s most competitive congressional districts.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and lead a team of volunteers across IA-01
  • Represent ACC Action at local events, fundraisers, and community gatherings
  • Develop relationships with campaigns, county Republican organizations, conservative groups, and community leaders
  • Organize and execute events, including tabling, voter registration, phone banks, and canvassing
  • Recruit new volunteers and expand ACC Action’s presence throughout the district
  • Track volunteer activity and report weekly progress
  • Lead voter-contact efforts and Get-Out-The-Vote operations
  • Identify and develop additional volunteer leaders

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a motivated, politically engaged leader who:

  • Lives in IA-01 or within reasonable traveling distance of the district
  • Are strong communicators and natural organizers
  • Have an interest in politics, campaigns, or grassroots advocacy
  • Are self-starters who can operate independently
  • Are well-connected in their local community
  • Are passionate about the conservative environmental movement
