Early polling in 2024 showed a crowded field and an uncertain path forward. But by building a consistent surround-sound presence on the ground and in the media, our members helped elevate a conversation focused on solutions over slogans.

- We sponsored a town hall for Representative Clancy to engage citizens on responsible environmental stewardship.

- We co-signed a coalition letter with partners including the Foundation for American Innovation, Libertas Institute, R Street Institute, and The Western Way, underscoring the importance of the bill’s commonsense blend of environmental stewardship and regulatory clarity.
- ACC Action staff member, Isaiah Menning, testified before the Utah House Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee in late January.
Influence
HB 85 passed committee and was signed into law on March 24th, updating Utah’s Clean Air Act permitting process to promote flexibility, protect air quality, and reduce permitting backlogs by hundreds of years statewide.

- We’ve helped local leaders testify on behalf of nuclear reclassification on four separate occasions.

The bill passed both the Colorado House and Senate, with Governor Jared Polis signing the legislation into law on April 2nd, 2025.

- We rallied local media to engage with the issue in outlets like the Gainesville Register.

Thanks to strategic public pressure, education, and direct constituent letters from 1,000+ Texans, SB 819 was ultimately defeated in the legislature.
