ACC Action Applauds Agricultural Priorities in 2026 Farm Bill

WASHINGTON – The American Conservation Coalition Action (ACC Action) applauds the release of the House Agriculture Committee’s version of the 2026 Farm Bill, culminating in a markup next week.

ACC Action President Chris Barnard said, “For three years, the Farm Bill has been stuck in a pattern of short-term extensions, leaving American farmers in limbo. We are grateful for Chairman Thompson’s leadership in crafting a strong Farm Bill that empowers our nation’s original conservationists.”

ACC Action strongly advocated for an increase in conservation dollars in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act last year, an important step toward empowering farmers to steward their land as only they can. Ultimately, $16 billion was secured, a 35 percent increase.

Specifically, ACC Action is happy to see the inclusion of several of our priorities: the Increased TSP Access Act, Streamlining Conservation Practice Standards Act, Conservation Innovation Act, and the DoD and USDA Interagency Research Act, which the organization helped craft alongside partners ClearPath and C3 Solutions.

ACC Action looks forward to working with the House and Senate to deliver a comprehensive Farm Bill in 2026 as soon as possible that continues to empower our farmers and ranchers as the conservationists we know they are.
